In accordance with the recent Lord Young review of health and safety, the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) suggest that those recruiting external competent representation, shall ensure those they engage are competent. To this end, the HSE have established a national register of safety consultants (Occupational Safety Consultants Register) who are deemed competent through qualifications and experience.
